A Poem from Charles Potts

Blackberries on Horseback
by Charles Potts

Blackberries on Horseback

Up and down Blue Creek

I pick Blackberries

Ripe in the August sun.

Shiloh takes a bite

Gets his lips hung up

On the stickers.

He swings his neck way out

For Ocean Spray and

Way down for Chicory.
