In 2006, I was one of five Angelenos listed in the Music section of Los Angeles Magazine's annual "Power" issue. In 2007-8, I produced a blog called "Nature Trumps," about the L.A. River. Today, I live a peaceful life in the rural wilderness of Joshua Tree, California, where I am a partner in JTHomesteader.com with Stephanie Smith.

  1. If I ever somehow gain absolute control of the world and all its people, one of the first things I’d do is give all of New York, or perhaps a significant chunk of Europe, to Bill Laswell to do with as he sees fit. He’s earned it.

  2. “Brainwash mentalities to control the system.
Using TV and movies, religions, of course.”

it’s the simplest line… but resonates an immense truth about our culture: all of us, even those reading arthur, are strongly influenced by television and movies and religion. you can try to resist that, but until you stop watching movies and tv, and stop giving energy to religion, we will all be forever doomed to live in this Time Zone.

Sadly, for every one person that gives up tv, movies, and religion, there are thousands that laugh at that person as a “loony”.
